1. Rechabite Opening Party

High energy extravaganza! 

Perth’s trailblazing ballroom house, House of Reign joins two of the country’s most audacious MCs for a night to remember. Featuring walkers living out their fantasies on the runway (categories to be announced!), explosive genre-bending rap from Australia’s baddest, Vv Pete, and the contemporary club rap scene’s ‘master of the stage’ (VICE), JULAI – don’t miss out on this high-energy extravaganza to celebrate the start of the 2024 Festival.

2. Linda Tegg with Vivienne Hansen

An inner city wetland

If you find yourself in the Perth CBD discover the ecosystem, 'Wetland' that Linda Tegg and Vivienne Hansen have created in the deserted Carillon City arcade. 👀 Walk through the old food court on a boardwalk surrounded by water and plants.

3. Prom Night

A fun night for young people – way better than that school disco you've been dreading

We’re bringing you an all ages Prom Night party to remember at HQ Leederville. 

This free night of music and fun (think Heartstoppers Season 2 meets Sex Education Season 4), is a guaranteed good time.

P.S. If this all sounds like sensory overload, don’t stress – there’ll be a Quiet Zone where you can escape the noise and have a moment among the art.

4. Under the Same Sun

A spectacular concert for all

Hear some of the finest voices on the planet at this intimate free ticketed outdoor concert the whole family can enjoy at Supreme Court Gardens. 

The night features creative collaborations between leading Aboriginal musicians and their chosen guests from around the globe. Backed by WASO and conducted by Iain Grandage, this event is the perfect night for the whole family.

5. Perth Moves

A free 10-day dance hub!

STRUT Dance is back with free events to celebrate movement, music, connection and community over Festival time.

Start your day with morning meditations led by a stellar line-up of musicians and movement practitioners. Then in the evenings, witness bite-sized performances by world-renowned choreographers and dancers, or take to the dance floor yourself in open contemporary dance classes, afro-fusion, late-night salsa or even an all-styles, all-ages dance battle!

There's sure to be something for everyone to move to.

6. Ngaangk Talks

Light up your afternoon

Join us for a series of inclusive free conversations on the UWA Somerville lawn. We're bringing you passionate storytellers for performance-imbued discussions centred on the 2024 Festival theme of Ngaangk, matriarchal power and environmental sustainability.

You'll leave inspired, uplifted and empowered.
